Love is so many things. It's physical, spiritual and emotional.
When we lack love in our lives, we will do anything to find it, including hurting ourselves.
The thing is, Love isn't something you find, Love is something you are. The moment we entered the world, we entered as Love and then given a name.
Our experiences can make us lose sight of who we are; we may have troubled parents, spouse, etc., and we start to doubt ourselves and move away from our true essence. We can become entangled in traumatic events that happen throughout our lives. We begin to lose sight of who we really are.
Are you moving away or towards who you truly are? How do you know?
I found the best definition of Love in the Bible; when I have any doubts, I read it. You don't have to be religious to appreciate these words. I hope one finds comfort in these words.
“Love is patient; love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,it is not easily angered,it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Imagine if we all permitted ourselves to live in our true essence as defined by God.
How would this world be?
