Tips on Letting Go with Ease

Is the world a beautiful place? Yes

Are we beautiful people? Sometimes 

Obstacles get in our way, and we become stuck. Yes, I became stuck, darn it, that means we are...Human

Holding on to pain doesn’t fix anything. 

Replaying the past over and over again doesn’t change it, and wishing things were different doesn’t make it so. 

You have to let go of what is hurting you, even if it feels almost impossible. 

Deciding to hold on to the past will hold you back from creating a strong sense of self.

Your parents were not the best.

Your partner cheated on you.

Your children didn't do the thing you expected them to do.

The people you thought were your friends abandoned you.

Your siblings are not kind to you.

The promotion you wanted was offered to someone else.

So many things happen in our lives that cause us to be stuck.

Here are some ways to start the process of letting go.

  1. Accept relationships for what they are and not what you would like them to be.

  2. Let go of the thought that we can control other people’s actions.

  3. Don't put energy into what other people think. Explore your thoughts and ideas.

  4. It's ok to get things wrong sometimes, allow some space in your life for errors.

  5. Start accepting the things you can not change.

  6. Don't put all your time and energy into what you want the outcome to be, especially when working with people.

  7. Take off the handcuffs. Don't allow yourself to be restricted by the things you believe.

  8. Get uncomfortable. Fears can hold us back. Face the things that scare you.

  9. A negative feeling is ok. Allow them to come and go.

  10. Practice self-love. Take time to appreciate who you are every day.
